Exeption - Tony Stark x Reader x Clint Barton

"Pff yeah right, Barton, as if there is a single woman in this world that would choose you over me! And I mean come on I am Tony Stark!" Tony said as he and Clint walked into the room, not giving any attention to their surroundings, too absorbed into their conversation.

"In fact, just so as to make you feel better there is no single woman in the world that would choose any other man over me!" Tony clarified and Clint scoffed.

"Yeah right..." he rolled his eyes "But don't forget that there is an exeption to every rule..." he said.

"Not in this rule, Hawk, not in this..." Tony imidiately said.

"Well sorry to ruin it to you but in fact there is one girl that would choose me over you, Stark!" Clint responded.

"Oh and who is that..." Tony started but trailed off as realisation hit him.

"Yes (y/n)!" Clint said with a smirk.

"Ha oh come on Hawk! You know I could get (y/n) without even trying. She is smart but let's be honest she can't resist me!" Tony said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Oh please I bet that she would say yes to a date with me way faster than with you..." Clint said.

"Ok then whoever gets (y/n) to say yes to a date with him first, wins!" Tony said.

Clint noded "And whoever loses will have to admit in public that the other..." he paused a smirk on his face "Will admit that he is better at bed and is wanted by most women!" he said extending his hand.

"Oh it's so on!" Tony said with a huge grin and shook Clint's hand.

And that's how it all started. And it lasted a whole week. Not that much time, right?

Wrong!

Every single day, every single hour, every single minute, wherever you were in the Stark Tower, whoever you were with, whatever you would be doing either Tony or Clint would suddenly appear...

Clint 2nd attempt:

You were reading a book,one of your favorite ones, while leaning out of a window wanting to look up from your book and stare at the city...

There was silence...

"Hey (y/n)!" Clint said exitedly from behind you, making you jump...

...and drop your book...

...out of the window...

Tony 4th attempt:

You were drinking some coffee - well mainly holding the cup of coffee and occasionally taking a sip from it - while you kept typing a report that you were about to finish.

In silence...

"Hey (y/n) I was..." Tony's voice was heard but trailed off as soon as he saw what had happened...

He had startled you...

...and make you jump...

...and drop your coffee...

...on your pc...

You just shot him a glare...

~~ After two days ~~

Clint 6th attempt:

"Hey (y/n) you're not still mad at me for your book, right?" he asked you with an apologetic smile.

"No Clint it's ok" you smiled warmly at him "Bruce found it" you said and he frowned.

"It fell on his head" you said chuckling as he did the same.

"So uhm I was wondering..." he rubbed his neck and you looked at him from your tablet. You motioned him to continue.

"If you are free, you know we could-" he was cut off by Tony's voice.

"Clint I told that you painting (y/n)'s guitar (l/f/c) was not a good idea!" he said and your eyes went wide.

"You did what?!" you asked Clint.

"I-I did not..." he looked at you wide eyed too but you didn't let him explain as you exited the room to find your guitar.

"Lame, Stark. Really. Lame." Clint said through gritted teeth as Tony entered the room from the door you had exited a few minutes ago.

He chuckled...

Tony 10th attempt:

You walked up the stairs that led to Tony's room, holding some papers that you had to give to him. And yes you opted for walking up and down the stairs instead of taking the elevator, when the stairs were not many.

"Ok honey I'll see you some time!" a voice was heard - female to be exact.
"What are you talking about? I don't even kno-" Tony started but stopped as soon as he saw you.

(Y/n)? I-it's not what it looks like!" was all he said as the woman exited the room.

"How original" you said sarcastically and placed the papers on his desk.

"First the joke with the guitar and now this..." you laughed dryly "and to think that I even believed you would change..." you mumbled shaking your head and exited the room.

Tony gritted his teeth.

"You gotta admit that was good..." Clint said chuckling.

And that's how the whole week went on...

"Look we have to both agree that while trying to get (y/n) say yes we will not put any obstacles on each others attempts" Tony said.

"I agree" Clint nodded and they both shook hands.

"Haha ok, yes, but I warn you I am the type to be late on dates" you said laughing as you exited a room accompanied by...

...Loki?

"It's ok dear, we have all the night..." he said with a mischevious smirk and you giggled.

"Yes" Tony said wide-eyed.

"Date" Clint completed him wide-eyed too.

And they both stared at what was happening before them.

"Uhm yeah Loki asked me on a date and I said yes" you smiled shyly.

"I'll be seeing you tonight beautiful (y/n)" Loki said bowing a little and then vanishing.

"Loki got her first" Tony said in a whishpery-shocked voice.

"Loki" Clint repeated not believing it either.

"Yep!" you said and walked behind them as they both stood there dumbfounded.

"And I think you have something to say about him..." you said from behind them in a low voice.

"Yeah we do. We have to admit that Loki is- Wait what?" Tony started but soon stopped.

They both turned and looked at you "How did you?" Clint frowned.

"You did know the whole time?" Tony asked frowning too.

"You men are just so easy to play with..." you chuckled.

"By the way; thanks for the help Loki" you said smiling.

"No problem beautiful" Loki's voice was heard.

"Nice try boys. Maybe next time" you smirked at Clint and Tony and turned to leave.

And you did, leaving both men look at you shocked...

They should take in their surroundings better next time, before they spoke...
