I'm sorry... - Loki x Reader x Thor

You walked beside Thor, your greenish-blue cape floating freely covering your completely along with the big hood coverng your face giving you the ability to see but not be; due to the shade it made.

You both got nearer Loki's cell. You hadn't ever met him but Thor had told you a lot of things about him.

You finally reached your destnation making your breath hitch and your heart race. And for some odd reason it wasn't because of the fact that your adrenaline was high (since you both had to be carefoul so as not to get discovered) but because... because of the fact that you were going to meet him...

Him... the so famous Loki... But why? Why were you all of a sudden feeling this way? It surely couldn't only be from just what you were told about him...

Could it?

You didn't have time to even think about it as Thor motioned for you follow him. You both entered the huge room and your first sight was him...

To say he was handsome it would be an underestatement...

He had silky long black hair that compliemented his features perfectly. As well as the most beautiful emerald eyes you had ever seen.

He was pacing through his cell, his hands folded behind his back.

He...

Something was wrong... His aura was... you could not quite describe it. The fact that you were a half witch and half angel (that gave you the ability to live as long as an Asgardian - although you were from Earth/Midgard) allowed you to see through others souls, just by looking them in the eyes. So this meant that you could see how they felt, what they thought or if they were being honest or not.

In other words you had seen (or read as you called it) many souls. But this time it was different... Loki was different... his soul was...
 
Yes he was different, because either he was trying to block you out of his mind or...

You frowned trying to find an answer to the question but his oh-so-beautiful and soft voice broke your trail of thoughts...

"After all this time you come to visit me now brother, why?" he said and turned to look at Thor, who stood beside you as you both stood in front of Loki's cell.

"I've come to talk with you Loki" Thor spoke with his deep voice, making Loki raise an eyebrow at him.

"Oh is that so?" Loki spoke taking a few steps forward "And why may I ask have you brought this lady with you?" he said, suddenly turning his gaze at you; smiling.

Oh Odin, that smile...

You suddenly felt your heart flutter and heat rise on your cheeks just by his gaze and smile. You were so glad that you thought to wear the big cape along with a  big hood that would cover your face.

"She is not of importance to you now, Loki" Thor suddenly said in an all-too-serious and protective tone; making Loki smirk even more.

"Oh brother do not tell me that after the death of your dear Jane Foster and after so many years you found love again..." he raised his eyebrows making Thor sigh and roll his eyes.

"Weird, I thought that you would-" Loki started speaking again but was cut off.

"Enough Loki!" Thor stopped him.

And they started talking about something that you paid no attention to...

...you just focused on something else...

...on someone else...

Loki...

And then...

... it all clicked...

So you paid no more attention anymore to what Thor and Loki were saying (probably about Frigga considering from Loki's expressions) but stayed focused on him...

You didn't hear what they were saying; you payed no attention, but you were sure that they stopped as they looked at you walk closer to Loki's cell and...

...not stopping...

... and you got in...

You walked past Loki 'ignoring' him just like he wasn't there; while walking a few more steps and standing...

...opposite an empty wall?

Thor looked at you confused as you kept looking down at something he couldn't put his finger on.

He averted his eyes from you and looked at Loki who had a smirk on his face.

"What a smart girl..." that was all he said and after a white flash Loki dissapeared...

...and he appeared sitting against the wall where you were looking at.

His cell was a complete mess. Furniture was broken in pieces, objects smashed and shattered.

You kept looking down at Loki whose foot was bleeding and hair were more messy than before...

...it hurt seeing him like this...

He averted his gaze from where he was looking behind you, at Thor probably, and looked at you.

"Well I'm sorry for..." he paused and rolled his eyes to look around his cell and then back at you "...the mess" he completed, giving you a half-hearted chuckle that turned into a pained look which made you frown at his... 'reaction'.

It made you feel even more sad...

The way he looked...

...his eyes filled with sadness...

...his soul filled with grief...

...it made your heart ache even more...

You wanted nothing but to erase his pain...

...stop his bleeding...

...heal him...

...hold him...

...tell him that everything was going to be ok...

...that...

...that he had someone that would care from him from now on...

You so desperatly wanted to do all those things... but you couldn't...

You couldn't... you had just met him...

Which was one of the reasons why it felt weird...

You had just met him and yet he could so easily make you feel all those emotions you had never felt before...

Maybe it was your angel part...

That you wanted to protect him and be there from him...

...to ease his pain... maybe...

But then again...

...maybe...

Before you could even realise it your hands went up to your hood and you pulled it down as it fell on your shoulders, revealing your (e/c) orbs that were filled with so many emotions that you tried to hide...

...till now...

Loki's eyes went almost wide...

What stood before him...

He just... could not explain it...

He could feel his hands shake a little bit at well as sweat and his breath... well it seemed to him that he had just stopped breathing...

Had it not been for his heartbeat he would have thought that he was dead...

His heartbeat...

Why had it all of a sudden become so quick... he didn't understand that...

Yes, he had to admit...

Never during his life had he seen such a beauty... nowhere in the Nine Realms... a mesmerizing beauty... the beauty of an angel...

So he just stood there... looking at your (e/c) eyes as yours stayed on his...

Silence followed as Loki stood still; looking mesmerized...

...while you averted your eyes from his and looked at his bleeding foot and then back at his face; sadness washing your features.

You looked at him with pleading eyes and when he didn't move you bented down to reach his bleeding foot and take the glass out to heal him later...

You reached out but he jerked his foot away making you look at him imidiately "Don't..." he hissed; making you withdraw your hand back to your side and straighten yourself.

You looked down...

...you wanted to say so much but just found your voice stuck in your throat...
Silenece followed...

...it was soon broken...

"Mother..." you heard both Thor and Loki say...

...there...

...beside you stood the Allmother, Frigga herself...

"My dear children..." she said and then gave Thor a small smile; turning afterwards to look at Loki.

"How...?" he said in a whispery voice,  his eyes filled with disbelief...

Frigga said nothing, but merely turned her gaze from Loki to you putting a hand on your shoulder.

Loki looked at you, too. He was able to see your eyes shine bright blue...

"(Y/n)..." Frigga started as she looked at Loki and you averted your gaze from where you were looking at Frigga to Loki that had his eyes on you...

"She can bring us in touch whenever you want..." she said and her hand dropped from your shoulder to her side.

She went closer to Loki "We can talk every day just like we used to..." she said and went even closer to him.

"Used to..." Loki said his tone filled with venom and... pain.

"(Y/n) can bring us in touch whenever you wish and I will come... We can talk and chat, and everything will be just like it was before I..." she trailed off.

"And everything is going to be ok..." she continued "I will be here and..." she paused and reached for Loki's shoulder "... and you won't have to feel this way... or hurt yourself..." she placed her hand on his shoulder but before she could continue he cut her off jerking her hand away and startling you that were about to take the glass from his foot.

"Stay away from me!" he shouted at the top of his lungs making you suddenly back away...

You  looked at him wide-eyed... just like did Frigga...

"Stay away from me..." he said in a low tone... his voice filled with sorrow and grief...

It made you sad too... you looked at him with pleading eyes... pleading for what?

You didn't know anymore...

"Loki, please..." Frigga started; going closer to him but he cut her off again...

"I don't want your pity, just LEAVE ME ALONE!" he shouted the last part with even more grief; breaking your heart into pieces...

Frigga sighed and looked down...

"Goodbye Loki..." was all she said and dissappeared...

Loki looked at you and you couldn't take it anymore...

You looked down and put your hood on, though not enough so that he couldn't see your face... and without even a word you turned and exited the cell...

...you wanted so desperatly to say some things...

...you wanted so desperatly to confort him...

...to ease his pain...

...to tell him that it wasn't pity but...

...no you couldn't...

...just because you had brought Frigga to see Loki even as a spirit...

...you imidiately regretted it...

...you imidiately exited the cell and gave Thor a pleading look he imidiately grasped and led you out...

"I'll come back in a while..." he said and you didn't dare look at Loki just followed Thor...

...you made your way towards the door...

...and before you exited you turnedyour head to look at him...

...he was looking at you...

"I'm sorry..." you said telepathetically as a few tears fell down you cheeks...

...he stood there dumpfounded...

...he didn't know how to react...

...no-one before had ever shown to... care about him...

...he just looked you in the eyes...

...smiling when he heard your voice talk in his head...

You broke eye contact as you turned your head and exited the room...

"I'm sorry too..." Loki whispered as soon as you exited and closed his eyes...

...bringing your eyes in his mind...

...for the first time after Frigga's death and everything that had happened since even finding out the whole truth he... could smile... he did smile... genuinely...

Thor led you out and away from the cells...

"I shouldn't have brought you with me to see Loki..." he said as soon as you were away...

"No Thor it's ok..." you said wiping a few tears; your hood falling in the process.

"No, (y/n). It is not. I should have thought... I know how sensitive you get and..." he started but you cut him off.

"Thor..." you started, taking his his hand "I'm fine..." you tried to smile; in vain.

He looked at you with sad eyes... he felt guilty...

He knew you too well to bring you to meet Loki imidiately after Frigga's death, though it would happen sooner or later, but you had insisted so he had no choice...

"I'm just..." he sighed looking down and not completing his sentence.

After a small pause he looked at you...

...and cupped your face, rubbing your cheek softly...

...and leaning in till...

...his lips met yours...

... and you kissed him back...

"I'm sorry..." he whispered resting his forhead on yours...

...you gave a small smile...

"I'me fine Thor... as long as I have you by my side..." you said and made him smile.

"I love you, (y/n) and I will always do..." he kissed your cheek.

"I love you too Thor..." you responded before capturing  his lips ina kiss full of love, affection and... sorry...
